Join us at the Currumbin Valley Brewing Taproom & Kitchen for a night of laughs. Kicking off at 7pm with 2 hours of laughs, great food and a selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Our kitchen will be serving food until 8pm.

Wednesday September 25th we have an amazing lineup of killer comedians coming your way and we're in for a treat this week with Aus festival and comedy club legend Matt Ford coming all the way to us to headline for one night only. Matt is a masterful joke-weaver and storyteller that never fails to make every performance completely unique and hilarious. Joining him to host the show is the UK's Dan Willis to warm us up and introduce our support acts for the evening.

Matt Ford is the winner of the 2010 MICF Class Clowns Competition, a brilliant storyteller who always manages to notice the absurd and the funny in everything. He's been featured on ABC's Comedy Up Late, sold out festivals as part of Aboriginal Comedy Allstars and tours nationally headlining stages all over the country. Matt is one of our favourites.

In 2002 after winning the Time-Out Competition to be a Perrier judge at the Edinburgh festival, Dan Willis made the move from computer programmer to full time comedian. The IT crash also made this move slightly easier, if not essential- you’ve got to see the funny side of things after all. Willis performed in Edinburgh for the first time in 2002 with the Amused Moose Hot Starlets, a showcase of comedians including Greg Davies, Matthew Osborn, Nina Conti, Rhod Gilbert and fellow North-Easterner Patrick Monaghan. Now, after over 2000 gigs in 11 different countries, including TV appearances in the UK and Australia. Willis performs in all major comedy clubs as a headline act or MC (Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Comedy Central, etc), and International festivals throughout the globe performing solo shows (New Zealand and Melbourne Comedy Festivals, Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringes to name but a few).

Stand-up comedy runs from 7:00pm to 9:00pm every Wednesday night with a short break. Additionally, our kitchen will be open until 8pm on Wednesday nights.
